Sydney : May Lane Graffiti

Standard

I’ve always been pretty keen on graffiti, it’s generally a controversial subject, what is art? what is vandalism? what helps to regenerate an area? There’s loads of questions and no right answers, it’s just one of those things that people will always disagree about.

May Lane, like Newtown and Bondi is a Spraypaint mecca.

These are incredible! It’s funny how only a few years back, everybody was against this kind of art. It is now a part of our city landscape and I think we are the better for it. It is a sign of true art isn’t it? Something we first fight against and can’t live without later…

    • There is so much good graffiti in Sydneys inner suburbs, it’s all old school throw ups and keeping it retro. I’ve got a few other graf based posts lined up.

Any art that is creative is true art in my opinion, it doesn’t have to be fine arts.
